Dr. Bottera earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming under the mentorship of Dr. Kyle De Young. She completed her internship at the Charleston Area Medical Center/West Virginia University School of Medicine and is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Eating Disorders Research T32 fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Wildes. Dr. Bottera’s research foci largely involve the investigation of the interplay among emotional, physiological, and biological correlates of binge eating, with an emphasis on the interplay between circadian rhythm and appetitive rhythm disruptions and their impact on/relation with eating disorder behaviors.
Elizabeth Dougherty, PhD
T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in Eating Disorders Research
Dr. Dougherty is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Midwest T32 Eating Disorders Research fellowship, under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Wildes. She completed her graduate training at Illinois Institute of Technology under the mentorship of Dr. Alissa Haedt-Matt. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Dougherty’s research focuses on characterizing transdiagnostic risk and maintenance factors for eating disorders, with the goal of identifying modifiable treatment targets.
Hayley Goldenthal, PhD
Pediatric Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Goldenthal earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine under the mentorship of Drs. Karen Gouze and Colleen Cicchetti. Currently, she is a pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellow working with youth and young adults with chronic medical conditions (endocrinology, hematology/oncology, and gastroenterology) under the mentorship of Dr. Tina Drossos. Her clinical and research interests include developing and evaluating interventions for historically marginalized youth exposed to chronic illnesses, stressors, and traumatic events
Devi Jayan, PhD
Adult Trauma Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Devi Jayan is an adult trauma post-doctoral fellow in the REACT program. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University, Wi under the guidance of Dr. Jacklynn Fitzgerald. She completed her Pre-doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she gained experience in working with patients exposed to multiple types of traumatic events who also have comorbid medical issues. Her research interests include examining the psychophysiological risk factors of PTSD and depression. At the University of Chicago, Dr. Jayan works primarily with patients exposed to community violence and struggling with post-trauma issues such as PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, grief etc. She is a strong advocate for promoting mental health support for individuals from marginalized communities, especially those exposed to community violence.
Araba Kuofie, Ph.D.
Adult Health Clinical Psychology Fellow
Dr. Kuofie (University of Kansas) is a Clinical Health psychology postdoctoral fellow who splits her time between the Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, the OBGYN Mental Health Program, and the Behavioral Medicine Service in Primary Care. She completed her internship at Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Kuofie’s clinical and research interests include health disparities and marginalized populations, multicultural competence, women’s health, and trauma.
Mary Lee, PhD
Pediatrics Postdoctoral Fellow
Mary Lee earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at Wheaton College under the mentorship of Benjamen Pyykkonen, PhD. She completed her predoctoral internship at West Virginia University School of Medicine. Dr. Lee has extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan. She plans to specialize in working with individuals with comorbid neurodevelopmental and medical/genetic conditions. Her primary research interests lie in academic performance in children with medical and neurodevelopmental conditions and in executive functioning in youth who have been exposed to trauma. She is committed to promoting resilience development for patients with neuropsychological challenges by providing support and resources for them, as well as for their families, schools, and other health service providers.
